Comments on: Velowalas: Bikes for Business https://kk.org/streetuse/velowalas-bikes-for-business/ This site features the ways in which people modify and re-create technology. Herein a collection of personal modifications, folk innovations, street customization, ad hoc alterations, wear-patterns, home-made versions and indigenous ingenuity. In short -- stuff as it is actually used, and not how its creators planned on it being used. As William Gibson said, "The street finds its own uses for things." I welcome suggestions of links, and contributions from others to include in this compendium. -- KK Tue, 06 Apr 2010 07:08:12 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=5.9.12 By: Alex https://kk.org/streetuse/velowalas-bikes-for-business/#comment-71152 Mon, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 #comment-71152 The stuff they cram onto spoked wheels in India will blow your mind. Mobile kitchens, clothing, shoes, hats, all sorts of foods to go. And if the vendor you are talking to doesn’t have it, don’t worry, he can call his brother’s Velowala on the cell and have it there in minutes.
